EMERGENCY PROCEDURES & DISASTER PLAN

(In compliance with RA 10121 and DOLE Labor Advisory No. 17-22)

General Emergency Protocol

In any emergency, the priority is Life over Property.

  • Stay Calm: Do not panic. Listen for instructions from the Safety Officer or via the official company radio/group chat.
  • Evacuate: If the alarm sounds, proceed to the designated Assembly Point at the parking Lot/Open Space.
  • No Return: Do not re-enter the building until the "All Clear" signal is given by authorities or the Safety Officer.

Typhoon & Flood Protocol (Leyte/Samar Standard)

  • Monitoring: The Safety Officer shall monitor PAGASA bulletins.
  • Signal No. 2: Management will review work suspensions. Employees living in flood-prone areas are advised to coordinate for early release.
  • Signal No. 3 or Higher: Work is automatically suspended. If already at work, employees will be sent home immediately unless travel is already deemed "Imminently Dangerous."
  • Flood: If water enters the premises, the Safety Officer will immediately Shut Off the Main Power to prevent electrocution.

Earthquake Protocol (Duck, Cover, and Hold)

  • During the Shaking: Do not run for the exits. Duck under a sturdy desk, Cover your head, and Hold on. Stay away from glass windows and heavy shelves.
  • After the Shaking: Evacuate the building using the stairs (never the elevator). Check yourself and others for injuries.
  • Tsunami Watch: If the office is near the coast, and a strong earthquake lasts for more than a minute, move to Higher Ground immediately without waiting for an official siren.

Fire Protocol

  • Raise the Alarm: Shout "FIRE!" and trigger the nearest manual fire alarm.
  • Extinguish: Only attempt to use a fire extinguisher if the fire is small (trash can size) and you have a clear exit behind you.
  • Smoke: If there is smoke, stay low to the floor where the air is cleaner.
