STATUTORY BENEFITS AND CONTRIBUTIONS

The Company is committed to the long-term social and financial security of its employees. In compliance with Philippine law, all employees are enrolled in the mandatory government insurance and savings programs.

Government-Mandated Contributions

The following statutory benefits are provided and maintained through a shared contribution scheme between the Employee and the Company:

SSS (Social Security System):

Provides protection for disability, sickness, maternity, death, and retirement.

PhilHealth (Philippine Health Insurance Corporation): Provides health insurance coverage and hospitalization subsidies for the employee and their qualified dependents.

Pag-IBIG Fund (Home Development Mutual Fund):

A national savings program that provides housing loans and short-term calamity/salary loans.

Contribution Rules and Deductions

Cost Sharing:

Contributions are shared by the Employee and the Employer based on the current premium rate tables provided by the government. The Company pays the Employer’s Share as a business expense, while the Employee’s Share is legally deducted from the employee's monthly basic salary.

Remittance: The Company serves as the remitting agent, ensuring that the total contribution (Employee + Employer share) is paid to the respective agencies on or before the legal deadlines.

Updated Rates: The Company automatically adjusts deduction amounts whenever the government (SSS, PhilHealth, or Pag-IBIG) mandates a rate increase to ensure continuous coverage for the employee.

Leave Without Pay (LWOP) Status: Per government rules, if an employee is on an extended unpaid leave of absence, no salary is generated; therefore, no contributions will be deducted or remitted by the Company for that period.

13TH MONTH PAY

In strict accordance with Presidential Decree No. 851, the Company provides the mandatory 13th Month Pay to all eligible team members.

  • Entitlement: All rank-and-file employees who have rendered at least one (1) month of service within a calendar year are entitled to this benefit. This applies regardless of employment status (probationary or regular) and the method by which wages are paid.
  • Computation: The 13th Month Pay is computed as 1/12 of the total basic salary earned by the employee within the calendar year.

Note: "Basic Salary" excludes overtime pay, allowances, commissions, and other discretionary monetary benefits.

  • Payment Schedule: To support our employees during the holiday season, the Company releases the 13th Month Pay on or before December 24 of each year.
  • Separation from Company: Employees who resign or are terminated before the payment date are entitled to their pro-rated 13th Month Pay, which will be included in their Final Pay/Clearance.

Probationary Employment and Statutory Benefits Rule

All employees, including those hired on a probationary basis, are covered by mandatory statutory benefits in accordance with Philippine labor laws.

Statutory Benefits Coverage

Statutory contributions to SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG shall commence on the employee’s first day of employment, regardless of probationary status, length of service, or eventual regularization.

Non-Conditional Entitlement

Entitlement to statutory benefits is not dependent on successful completion of the probationary period. Employees who do not qualify for regularization or whose employment ends during probation shall remain entitled to all mandatory contributions for the period they were employed.

Company-Granted Benefits

Company-provided benefits beyond those required by law (such as extended leave credits, allowances, or discretionary incentives) shall apply only upon regularization, unless otherwise stated in writing by Management.

Final Pay and Compliance

Upon separation, whether during or after the probationary period, the Company shall ensure:

  • Proper remittance of all statutory contributions for the duration of employment
  • Release of final pay in accordance with law and Company policy
