OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH (OSH) COMPLIANCE
In accordance with Republic Act No. 11058, the Company maintains a strict "Safe and Healthful Workplace" policy. Compliance with safety standards is a condition of employment; any willful neglect of these safety rules shall be subject to disciplinary action under the Code of Discipline.
Employee Rights and Mandates
- Right to Know: The Company shall provide mandatory safety orientations regarding workplace hazards (field risks, electrical safety, and ergonomic strain).
- Right to Refuse Unsafe Work: Employees are authorized to report and refuse any task that presents an "imminent danger" to their life or health. The Company prohibits any form of retaliation against employees exercising this right in good faith.
- Mandatory Duty to Comply: Every employee must strictly follow all safety instructions, utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where applicable, and participate in all scheduled safety trainings and emergency drills.
Workplace Maintenance and Safety Rules
- Housekeeping (5S Standards): All employees are required to maintain a clean and organized workstation. Aisles, fire exits, fire extinguishers, and electrical panels must remain unobstructed at all times.
- Electrical Safety: The overloading of power strips and the use of unauthorized high-wattage appliances are strictly prohibited. Any frayed wires or equipment malfunctions must be reported immediately to the Admin/IT Department.
- Office Ergonomics: To prevent repetitive strain injuries, office-based staff are required to maintain proper posture and are encouraged to take brief "micro-breaks" every hour.
Field Safety Protocols (Mandatory for Field Personnel)
Field assignments carry inherent risks. The following rules are non-negotiable:
Location Reporting: Personnel must log their exact location and estimated time of return (ETR) before deployment.
Emergency Communication: In the event of a field accident or injury, the employee must utilize the emergency contact numbers listed in the Official Group Chat within thirty (30) minutes of the incident, or as soon as physically able.
Weather Suspension: All field work is automatically suspended upon the declaration of PAGASA Public Storm Warning Signal No. 2 or higher. Unauthorized field work during a suspension is a violation of company safety policy.
Emergency Preparedness
- First Aid Access: First Aid Kits are stationed in the Pantry Area. Employees are prohibited from removing items from the kit for non-emergency use.
- Mandatory Drills: Participation in annual Fire and Earthquake drills is a mandatory work requirement. During an alarm, all staff must proceed immediately to the designated Assembly Area (Main Gate/Parking Lot).
