Mental Health in the Workplace Policy
In accordance with the Mental Health Act (RA 11036), SciBiz Informatics recognizes that the psychological well-being of our employees is vital to our collective success. The Company is committed to fostering a workplace that supports mental health and eliminates the stigma surrounding psychosocial issues.
Non-Discrimination and Anti-Stigma
No employee shall be discriminated against, passed over for promotion, or terminated solely on the basis of a mental health condition.
The Company maintains a "Zero Tolerance" policy for bullying, ridicule, or harassment related to an individual’s mental health status.
Confidentiality
All information regarding an employee’s mental health condition is treated as Highly Sensitive Personal Information.
Access to such records is restricted to the Admin/HR Department and the President. Information will not be disclosed to teammates or external parties without the express written consent of the employee, unless there is an imminent threat to life.
Work-Life Balance & Support
Leave Utilization: Employees are encouraged to use their Sick Leave (SL) or Vacation Leave (VL) for "Mental Health Days" to recuperate from stress or burnout.
Reasonable Accommodation: For employees undergoing treatment, Management may—at its discretion—allow temporary flexible hours or modified work arrangements to facilitate therapy or recovery, provided it does not severely disrupt operations.
Referral and Awareness
The Company shall conduct annual mental health awareness orientations (often integrated with OSH training).
While the Company does not provide in-house psychiatric services, the Admin office maintains a directory of professional mental health providers and hotlines (e.g., National Center for Mental Health) for employees in need of referral.
